- No spam. No referral links, unsolicited advertising, bots, bumping, or repetitive low-effort posts. Automated posting is grounds for an immediate permanent ban.
- No scams. Ponzi schemes, fake giveaways, phishing, impersonation of Monero developers or well-known community members, and "doublers" are banned on sight. Linking to known scam domains is blocked and reported.
- No doxxing. Never post anyone's real name, address, photographs, or other identifying information without their consent. Privacy is the entire point of this community. Violations result in immediate permanent bans and removal of the content.
- No illegal content. Do not post, request, or link to content that is illegal: stolen data, malware, CSAM, credit card fraud, hacking services, and the like. Discussing Monero's technology, privacy, and lawful use is of course welcome.
- Marketplace is at your own risk. Trades arranged in Marketplace and Services are strictly between the parties involved. The forum provides no escrow, no arbitration, and no guarantee. Caveat emptor. Newbie accounts cannot start topics there.
- One account per person. Sockpuppets, merit farming with alternate accounts, and ban evasion accounts will all be banned together.
- Keep it civil. Argue about ideas, not people. No slurs or harassment. Off-topic is for anything else — within these rules.
- Ban policy. Moderators issue temporary bans (with an expiry) or permanent bans depending on severity and history. Bans always carry a reason, which you will see when logged in. Ban evasion converts any temporary ban into a permanent one. Appeals: wait out a temporary ban, or contact staff through another channel for permanent ones.
