| What is merit? |
|---|
| Merit is how the forum rewards quality posts. Any member can press +Merit on a post they find valuable and send some of their sMerit (sendable merit) to its author. Everyone starts with 2 sMerit; when you receive merit, half of it becomes new sMerit you can send onward. Merit you have received never goes away and is required to advance in rank (see below). All transactions are public on the Merit log page. |
| How do ranks work? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Your rank depends on activity and merit received — you need both thresholds. Activity equals your post count, but it is capped by account age: you can gain at most 14 activity per two-week period since registration, so ranks cannot be rushed. Newbies have posting restrictions (no images, max one URL per post, longer cooldowns, no new topics in Marketplace/Services).

Raw HTML is never rendered. Newbies' URLs are shown as plain text until they reach Jr. Member. |

| No third-party assets, no analytics, no CDN — everything is served from this domain and the site is fully usable without JavaScript, including over Tor. Email is optional. IP addresses are never stored: only a keyed hash (HMAC) is kept for ban enforcement and registration rate limits, and moderators only ever see a short prefix of that hash. The forum is natively reachable inside anonymity networks (not just via exit nodes): Tor: http://he34rmgokvnyjyz3e54meproefvdwotpye72vo6bo4hzzrmrm3liqead.onionI2P: http://xwnatcj2zqfza3s6vyvmanvaj2a3edd3j46z42v7bk5khnejnkha.b32.i2pTor Browser users also get an automatic ".onion available" prompt on the clearnet site. |
